Inspired by the natural bright colours of fruit, this project aims to elevate the mundane.  During the seventeenth century, exotic fruit was highly prized and a symbol of considerable wealth. Now it is an easily accessible part of life and the exotic has become everyday.

These vessels aim to show the beauty of fruit, to bring back the wonder; to try and make the viewer see fruit in a new light. They highlight the more unusual or unknown aspects, with the forms taking inspiration from the flavours, narratives and textures of the fruit. This is to inspire some of the same wonder felt when these unfamiliar fruits were first brought to these shores.
